People often ask me how my faith has endured the last decade of deconstruction and dealing with deep disappointment in my life. They’re wrong, I tell them. I’m not just enduring in faith—I’m stronger than ever!
The reason? I’ve stayed connected to God through His word and the preaching of His word.
Today, I challenge you to do the same. Instead of avoiding God in moments of pain, instead of trying to fix yourself before turning to God, do what might not feel natural right now—position yourself where you can hear from God, and learn about who He is and what He has done for you.
I wrote a new Bible study called A Table in the Wilderness – A Study on God’s Goodness to help you see that even in the most unexpected places—our weaknesses, our sins, our doubts—God loves to invite us into His presence (release date Feb 6).
When you feel empty. When life is hard. When you are likely to forget God’s goodness. God invites you to the table. Will you say yes to Him?
